My son on his Honda 250ex at "Little Mo., little Dunes, Dumont.
Most Havasu sand enthusiasts drop down to Glamis for Sand Fun.

We like to go to Dumont dunes, about 30 miles North of Baker.
Easy camping, super tall dunes, frendly fun comp hill at night.

That is so cool. We are wanting to go to Dumont, but the hubby wants to make sure our boys will be able to ride out there. They are new to the outdoor sports :jumpie  :beat

How is riding out there for kids from 6 - 11 years old?

Any info is good info..

Dumont has excellent Little Dunes for kids and families.

The entrance to the little dunes is about 3 miles before the big dunes.

I suggest RV camping only at Dumont, the winds can be pretty tough for temt campers,

At the big dunes, Comp hill at night is excellent.

My son on the trail to the goldmines at the South end of the Dumont little dunes

Son riding on a little dune at Dumont

Daughter and who looks like Chuckie from the Rugrats at the entrance to a GoldMine at the Little Dunes, Dumont. Another family exploring the mines reconized our daughter from a TV show and movie she was in and their son asked for a pic with her, so I took one too. Just had to snap a pic of Chuckie.

Easy to find camping at Dumont. Not the Chaos like at Glamis.
If ya camp with a group, no trouble circleing and forming a compound.
No supplies at Dumont what so ever. Closest town is Baker, and the Mini Market at the Jack in the Box is the only store the girls say the food hasn't passed its expiration dates, and is clean.

Just my 2 cents on Dumont Dunes
View of the little dunes from our campsite. The rock hills in the distance are the Gold MInes

I build a cool TIKI bar and have a party at Dumont Dunes from time to time. Open, Host bar, marinated tri tip, ect.
I'll post when, hope you all come.

Always a big turnout of really excellent people.
The legends of Glamis and Dumont always show up and you can meet some unique, interesting people, and become a legend yourself.

BTW, the only Hodaka model I remember is the "Road Toad". :rotflmao
