I would love to be able to set one of them up. The only way to get to the drain plug is to pull the motor.
I took a few pics when replacing the fuel pump. I need to get them off the camera and post them.

Well, if you pull the motor every 2 weeks guess you wouldn't need one, huh..

Only have to do it one time, you'd think the factory would have put one in there to begin with, guess they don't want you doing your own maintenance...

Thats what I'm thinking so they can charge you out the A$$ for parts an labor. I cringe every season, If this stater goes out I'm not sure I will be able to change it with out yanking the engine.

Quote (AZKC @ Nov. 06 2012,2:50 pm) | So maybe the Blue Canoe will become a donor boat. At least the motor. Maybe I can put the squeeze on this Craigs List guy. |
Looks like a chopper gun deal??????,:stupid wish I knew you wanted a cruiser, could have had one dirt cheap(Hallett I think?)at an estate sale last week where I got my tooner, full stringer deal all there except the motor just bolt one in and go, trailer and all real nice shape, if it wasn't a ditch pump it would be in my yard right now..

Yeah, with those anything forward of the mini stringers are pretty much a limp dick, I seen some Kachinas with full stringers, may have been a custom deal don't know??, wouldn't hurt to take a look may luck out, never know..

I doubt it very much but possible, I'd want to lift that sub floor anyhow just to see what the hull looks like down there and check around the stringers, BB's have torque and if it was driven hard it's common to see those mini stringers pulling up off the floor especially on the drivers side, but even if it needs a little glasswork and the pump is good if you can get it for $1000-$1200 should be a decent deal???, I wouldn't go more than $1200 though. That's a bummer I could have gotten that one for $1000 or less, could have taken your motor and just bolt it in and go done deal..
