It would be nice to replace this with a UFP and Pivit Hitch with cables.

My current setup has the chain crossing the hitch and scratching the paint off.

I currently don't have trailer brakes but a UFP hitch could accommodate an actuator for brakes.

For the time being, I might be able to repair the seat structure myself and I'll look into reupholstering after I know the boat runs OK.  :)

Believe it or not, I'm working on this again...... or the trailer shop is working on this. The frame in the rear is being reworked to allow for more clearance. The coupler is being replaced too. Using 2 torque wrenches to install and remove the tongue is a pain. I'm putting a swivel on it now. :)

Yes they do!!! Getting in a hurry just makes things go wrong.

I have a breakaway tongue on my trailer and it has been a life saver in short places.

Not sure? :confused I dropped it off but did not hear from the trailer shop for awhile.  I was not in a hurry to pick it up because I had a rather large tax bill to pay.  Anyway, I finally called them and they said it's been done for awhile BUT the boat was getting glasswork done. Evidently, they damaged the glass when they tried lifting the boat from the trailer. :jawdrop My transom tie down eyes are parallel to the ground instead of perpendicular.  I would not have installed them that way, but the manufacturer did. So the trailer shop lifted the boat from those eyes and the glass cracked under at least one of them. It should be ready soon, but I don't want to rush them at this point.  I'll save my judgement for when I see the results first hand. :D

New Fold-Away tongue and UFP coupler.

I need to have a couple feet of my frame chopped off at the rear V and have it replaced with a horizontal cross member. Can he do that as well?

Doug,

I'll be over at the trailer place later today and ask...they do to re-furb's, so I'm sure he'll accomodate ya...

He's a boater...he took this regular boat and added all that top stuff...regular Catalina runs...modified the trailer himself, etc.

Thanks Gary,

So these are the trailer issues:

The rear V tends to drag on driveways.

New rear end.

COOL!!!! Looks Great!!!!  I did all LED on my trailer. I went with the 3 diode for the clearance lights. UHM... Little over kill.  :laugh  There are quite bright to say the least. I did the optronics and got them from Shadow. I also did the 56 diode 6" oval tail lights. Got them locally. once done it gave the trailer a whole new and modern look for a 15 year old trailer.  Just a suggestion.   :good   :D
