This is how it started, looks decent but it's all wore out so it comes apart for a complete resto and quite a few changes. It has 3" lowered springs in front and a flip kit in the back.

Bed off and will be replaced with a stepside bed. Don't know why they put the notch in the frame, there's more than adequate room between housing and frame.

Front sheet metal was next, everything will be going back on except the hood, it will be replaced with a 2" cowl fiberglass hood.

Cab is off and no rust. Motor is a Vortec crate motor with 700R, Vortec will be replaced with a big block but will use the 700R.

And this is where it's at now, should have already have the suspension and rear end out but weather went down the crapper, hope to get that done in the next couple days if the weather gets better.

:good   :cool  Nice clean start. Got to love AZ trucks that haven't been beat.  :D

Yea that frame notch doesn't make sense unless it sat lower somewhere along the line.

Nahhh, even when it was all together it still had over 3" clearance, and those springs are way too stiff for a 1/2 ton so it would never hit, they have 8 leafs should only be 4 I'll be taking some out. Should be a nice day today maybe I'll get something done on it today.. Also found out the frame is bent on the right side at the front, that corner got bumped at one time. :(

Got a little more done yesterday, got the rear end, fuel tank and steering box out along with a bunch of little junk, hope to get the suspension off today before the weather turns to crap. :banghead
