Well I thought that I would start to Share my progress.

This is the day I bought this Little 19’ Daytona. The jell coat is in real good condition. The seller put new floor and started making new seats and pedestal but are not what I want so I will be making new ones. The jet looks really good also along with the haul there is no rash on the bottom.  The trailer needs some paint and tlc also.

He even took out the tanks and cleaned them out and he said he put new pick ups in.

Yes it does. He said when he replaced the floor that they looked real good. I wasn’t sure so I looked in the ski storage to see but my head needs to be a little smaller  :laugh but I could quite a ways so I am pretty sure full stringers.

My Southwind that I had only had stringers just about a foot past the engine. I really didn’t like that at all. But it was my first boat and didn’t know what to look for at the time. It didn’t have ski storage either.

Well I got to work on installing the alternator today  :good  had go to Home Depot to pick up some spacers so the pulleys would line up. Sunday after work I rebuilt the carburetor and installed it today. I thought that I was doing good so I tried to start it and after a couple of cranks gas started spraying all over :pissed I forgot to tighten the fuel line to the carb. :banghead after fixing that it started right up.sounded  little rough thu but I haven’t adjusted the timing or checked the points yet. The points will change hopefully next week.

I was a little concerned about the miss being low compression on a cylinder, so I took a compression test today and was really happy with the turn out. The lowest is 121 to 129. :jumpie
I guess I should have done that first thing :stupid  :laugh

Well FedEx finally delivered the second steering wheel today. Looks pretty nice but I think I should have gotten the lighter one but at least it isn’t all torn up. :laugh
