Well I experimented today. The directions say for every oz. you put in ten drops of catalyst. I was mixing 16 oz which is 160 drops of catalyst and that was going off before I finished the pot. So I reduced it to 150 drops which was not enough so dropped it down to 140 drops per 16 oz. tomorrow I will drop it even more because I think that it being in the 90s is helping it go off sooner than it should be.  I just have to keep adjusting as I go.

Well I was going to start early today but had a road trip to Hemet to give the wife her meds that she forgot. But started when I arrived home and was doing pretty good till my fourth batch. :banghead i was applying it and half way through the resin started going off. Not sure exactly why but I think that it just got to hot in the garage. But before that happened I had it down to 130 drops to 16oz was giving me about 15 minutes of working time.  :good

Yes you are right, I set up the pieces that I want to resin then mix and apply. I think I am getting the hang of it, because today I had enough time to finish the mix before it went off. The thing is I only have two more pieces to do  :laugh

That is correct sir  :laugh  I have a few pieces that I need to sand the drops off the sides. :D I am glad that the upholstery is going to cover most of my screw ups. :good

I finally finished resining the interior and glassed some of the corners. Now I have to put it all up for now because a friend of mine wants me to screen print 500 shirts for his business. Don’t really want to but it is extra cash that will help out on the upholstery. Bad thing about it I took the machine apart to work on the boat interior  :laugh  but I have to get them done before the winter cold days come as it makes the ink to thick to spread nicely.

That is so true it happened again today. Jim they friend of mine has a truck here that I stored for him and he paid me to bring it down to him today. So the screen printing table had to wait. :D
