:good Cool pics Art, looks like you guys were the shit, Aluminum heads, Hilborne... nice :) A good friend of mine ran a 23T in the late 60's Div 7 and did real well..

Thanks, the alky motor was all factory stuff except for the rods they were aluminum. In fact just before the County closed the motor was freshened up with a new set and I still have them in a box with 7 passes on them, the crank is in my motor now!. The small motor was all iron, 990 heads and factory 3/8th bolt truck rods, all junk to todays standards!.. :laugh  :laugh

This is a friend of ours and one of our toughest competitors, we met in the finals many times, if both cut a good light we had the edge with the injectors though!..

Here's another car I worked on part time, BB Funny Car!..

Back then things were a no brainer, just a 440 BBC on alky!.. :laugh

Interesting thread! The alterd pics bring back memories. The 10.5 inch tire stuff is big right now. We run the super classes in IHRA and NHRA. We win a few here and there but all of the electronics and throttle stop stuff is getting old. Just about any jackass can buy all the latest electronics and compete.
