Yep, I lucked out and found a 12* split case super cheap so I'll be swapping out the C-500, should get here next week sometime. Hard part is finding a duplicate strut, Nicson has been out of business for many moons now, but I got a couple of people looking so one should turn up soon!..

Thanks, floor is excellent just replaced the stringers, they did extend the cloth/resin about a foot out though, super strong!..

Thanks Wade, you're right it'll have a BBC and TH400 in there but it's just a motor I built for a pickup a long time ago and never got used. It's a 475 with oval port heads and the big valves, it has a CompCams 268 but I'm sure It's a little small but we'll see!. Rebuilding a split-case for it now to replace the C-500, just waiting for the new strut now, soon as I get that I can start putting back together!..

Thanks, kinda at a standstill until I get the strut though!. Don't know about scootin along though, with that motor be lucky if it hits 50!..

Thanks Art I know you come across great deals and good boats well I dont know jack about what to look for? I'd like to find a good hull that may need some moderate repairs. would be good to have all the drive useable or repairable. I can fix the rest  I have the engine and trans and I want to build a cruiser so 50-70 MPH is fine with me. Just a good buildable boat that I can cut my teath on

Thanks Art  I looked at one yesterday the guy wanted 300 for it but He will probably have to pay someone to take it. the Gel was a mess and looked like the inside was all rotten. He sold the drive out of it before I got there.
