I registered over there the other day, set up my account, added my sig including my Go Bikini link and a Havasu Doug link.
I proceded to to post in several threads and added a few of my pictures to the photo gallery. I posted in one thread titled (We need a nudie thread here). I encouraged folks to come over here and post their nudie pics in the Too Hot For Hotboat thread.
Today I get a welcome PM from Dr. Jeff. In addition to the welcome, he informs me that he has edited my sig because he is trying to solicit a paying bikini sponsor for the board. He asks if I am interested to contact him about paying for a sponsor spot. As I check further, he not only edited out my Go Bikini link, but also removed my link to Havasu Doug's from my sig as well. Then I look at my posts from the past days and notice that he removed my entire post in the (We need a nudie thread). He just removed the whole post mentioning this board.
Now I don't fault the guy for wanting to make a few bucks off of his board, but this is rediculous. I wouldn't have minded too much the removal of my link to Go Bikini, but removing the link to Havasu Doug and any mention of it in posts is CRAZY!  |
First of all Lou,
 Let me apologize for getting off on the wrong foot with you.  I did not intentionally remove a link from my site to Havasu Doug's I took down the ad to the bikini site for reasons that I explained to you.  If there was a link to this site in addition, I did not see it and I would not have removed it.
 Second, I have several mentions of Havasu doug's site on my forum and have encouraged my members to check out this site since it has similiar type people and threads as our site.
 As for deleting your post, I will be the first to admit that I made an error in judgement in doing that.  Frankly I got a few PM's from some of the members about it, and in my haste I didn't even read the post as you say it was written.  I believe you when you say it was an invitation to come over and post the picts that can't be shown on our forum.  What I read it as, was a slam on my forum for being too restrictive.
Again, it was my own fault for not reading the post correctly, and as you pointed out to me, there is really no excuse for deleting entire posts on my forum for mentioning other forums.
Again, I have supported Havasu Doug, and although I don't post here often I do enjoy reading the posts here, and I have sent several people from my forum who have had jet boat questions over here in search of answers.
While I don't expect you to really want to come back (I wouldn't if I had been treated the way I treated you) I just wanted to clear the air, and publicly apologize for deleting your post.
The signature issue was simply one of conflicting interest in that I'm talking to several bikini manufacterers at the moment to try to get one to advertise with us, and it didn't seem like a good idea to have your being shown there.
I understand that this is your signature on all of the forums and you weren't openly soliciting business, but I hope you understand that in my opinion it makes it more difficult to ask another bikini company for money when they see yours also being advertised, even though it was just in your signature.
So, I was wrong, you are correct, I overstepped my boundries in deleting you post and I hope you accept my apology. Â I will also publicly apologize on my forum, as the reason I like this forum and my own is that they avoid the drama of other forums, and in this case it is me causing the drama.
Continued success with Havasu Doug and your bikini sales, and again, I am sorry.
