After thinking about it awhile I begining to wonder if thats what I should do. Do you know of anyone in town that could change out my bottom part of my outdrive to a diffrent case? They way I looking at it, it's going to cost about $400 to $600 dollars just for a strainer  (depending on which one I go with), shit a couple more bucks and I can get a new lower case installed. Then I don't have to worry about cleaning out the strainer all of the time. |
A Strainer Isn't A Bad Idea, Even If You Do Have The Lower Changed. There Are People That Say That The Pick Up Like Yours Is A Better Set up. |
Maybe he can find one to trade. Sea strainer is great for the occastional opps, but day to day cleaning. I still think it's better just to stop eating sand.

Yeah thats what I was told before all the issues. I guess thats what winter is for, figure out all the bugs and fix them before summer starts.

Is that a new t-stat you have in there??, sounds like it's sticking!. Anytime I change a t-stat I always put it on the stove in boiling water and check it, I've had bad ones right off the bat before!.. But if it was me I'd hook up a mechanical gauge to it and try it, but I don't have any faith in that electrical crap anyways!.

You're in AZ remember!.. Ya know, you could have a kinked line or a line that's collapsing I've seen that before and that can drive you nuts!. I'd still borrow a mechanical gauge and try it though, just to eliminate possibilities!. If you get a chance drag it over sometime if you want!..
