I looked once and didn't see any. but we have GoFastRacer here. He's good. Trust him, I/we do. Before he gets here, you know it's a lot of work, right? |
Im asking cause i found a guy here locally to do my stringer replacement for $400
I just want to know alittle of what to look for so i dont get a bad deal and have to do it over again.

Yeah, a lot. Stringers are like the foundation to a house. Ya gotta bulldoze it, fix it then rebuild. A lot of work. |
The first time i took it in to Holiday rv and marine ( big mistake) It ended up costing me $3,300 for transome work and installing my Energizer kit. I asked them to look at the stringers then. They said they did, even charged me for it.
So  after blowing up the 455 i took a good look at the work they said they did. It looks like they just repainted the transom and called it a day.  I dont want to go thru this BS again, i want it done right.

Yeah there is no strenght at all. The stringers move side to side alittle 
But im gonna get her fixed and be back kickin some AZZ again

From the pic it looks like full stringers, unless they end right after the pick and there is a cross piece there?. But you say there's a floor? then it shouild have full stringers for the floor to sit on!.. But regardless they need to be replaced not repaired and that's a big job, and no way you gonna get that done for $400 bot even if you the shortie stringers!.. Since you're in BHC, I would take it down to Havasu and talk to Joe Cucci at D'Cucci Boats, they do excellent work the guy that does glass work is an artist, I've known them since the mid 70's!...
