OK Back to the show.....
Drive went back on tonight along with the cable core and glide installed first. My home made holder, worked like a champ. Sorry for no pic's. I just want to get this thing back together. I'm kind of in crunch time. I want to make a lake run Saterday if possible. I also got the upper cable end put together ready to be adjusted. I still have to seal and clamp up the cable bello's. That will be the easy part. It's going take me 2 days just to get the leaves and crap out of the thing from the winds. I put the cover back on for the days it rained. Thankfully it kept the water out.

Well I got the thing out of the yard tonight. Hooked the Yee O'l hose to it. Spins like a mother but no run. I squirt a little fuel down at the butterfly's and it fires and dies. Looks like I now have a couple plugged injectors or a pluging somewhere. I can hear the fuel pump run and shut down when pressure is built as normal. Time and day light cut the trouble shooting down for tonight. I will be back at it in the morning.

With a little daylight and some tinkering, It it a live!!!!
I went out and turned the key on and let the pump run up to presssure. Then I decide to pull the line to see if I actualy was getting fuel to the throttle body. When cracked the line loose I heard some hissing, quickly i tighned the fitting. grabbed a couple rags and placed them under the line. Loosened the fitting again and it hissed again, but no fuel. I twisted the fitting more and finaly got gas out. Tighend the fitting and checked to see if I actualy had power to the injectors. Thought what the heck, and hit the key again, it fired. running like CRAP. Let it run and it cleared up. Loaded up the wife and off to Canyon lake we went. Got in the water and didn't want to start. Finaly got it to run, off the trailer it went. We ran it way up the canyon. The longer it ran it seemed to clean up and run somewhat OK. The gas being a year old did not help. Shifted in and out of gear like a champ.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Zoo!!!

Way to go. I was gonna guess a fuel filter. I heard my motor has an air release valve on it for this kind of thing. Hope I never need it as I haven't a clue where it is.

I'm surprised it even runs with that gas as old as it is, but you can bring it back to life with some PRI-G, stuff works pretty good!.. Injectors could be starting to get gummed up also!..

After getting the air out of the line I was kind of laughing that it did run on it. I have a feeilng that the injectors could be gumming with this gas. I want to run this crap through and then dump something in with some fresh fuel. I'm planning on running the crap out of it this week. Thing that sucks it's REAL good on using fuel. SO to kill 10 gal is a chore.

I've got some "juice" that'll clean those injectors up. what size tank you have. |
I do to. I just want to runthis crap out first. What do you have? I been using Lucas Oils stuff. |
Most of the Lucas stuff is paraffin based. as in wax. Good lube but not a real good injector cleaner. I'll surprize ya.
