Quote (GoFastRacer @ Mar. 16 2009,5:55 am) | Quote (BigDog @ Mar. 15 2009,11:01 pm) | To fix the issue of getting a rachet on the socket I adjusted an extension. I had 2 extensions the same length. So I drilled out the end of one. A little over kill was I drilled past the lock ball. I ended up removing the lock ball and drilling past it. I guess I drilled about an inch into the extension total. Once the drilling and cleaning of shrapmetel. It was ready to use. |
Pretty cool  could have taken a deep socket and turned it down some couldn't ya?, would have saved a bunch of time messing with an extension, I would think!.   |
TUrning the socket down was not an issue. It fit the nut just fine. A standard length deep socket would not alow a ratchet on it due to the nylon part being longer than the socket was deep. If I knew how to weld. A nut could have been welded on the end of the socket and a wrench could have been used insted of a ratchet to remove the nut.

Gotcha, I thought you used a regular socket not a deep one!..

When was the last time you changed the air in your fenders? Do you not R&R the drain plug? Don't you have a bimini? They always need raising and lowering.

It's well hidden. That's how I keep fotgeting it's out there. Rod's been out in the back a few times and never noticed it. Â I should just sell it. |
Yeah, I'd hide it too, actually selling it would the thing to do!..
