have a mild 355 chev in my 18ft jet. is there any reason i can not use a stock harmonic balancer on this engine? it is turning a panther pump at about 4500rpm tops. if this engine were in a car that only saw 4500, i would not be the least bit concerned, but a car doesn't see sustained rpm like my boat does.

comments and suggestions welcome

Welcome aboard!. Turning 4500 a stock one is plenty adequate, factory stock jets with big blocks turned 5500 and they came with stock balancers, so just run it!... :good
