65th Annual Thanksgiving Regatta

Redondo Beach, CA November, 2011- For the 65th time, The Southern California Speedboat Club Sprint Boats have been roaring to life around an 1 ¼ mile oval course laid out on Lake Moovalya in Parker, AZ. Once again, the Southern California Speedboat Club (SCSC) is staging their 65th annual Thanksgiving Regatta at the beautiful Blue Water Resort & Casino. The race will feature 15 classes of the fastest sprint boats, both Inboard and Outboard in the nation.

The 2012 APBA (American Powerboat Racing Association) season get’s underway with the very first race of the season at the beautiful Blue Water Resort & Casino. Classes set to race for the historic event are: Round 1 for the Grand National Racing Association Series, Super Stocks, Comp Jet class, Formula Lights, Nostalgia Flat & Endurance, Classic Outboard Runabouts, Formula 2 Tunnel Boats and the limited Stock Outboard Hydroplane classes.

The 65th Annual Thanksgiving Regatta starts on Friday November 25, 2011 at the Bluewater Resort & Casino beach. The Race begins at 9:00 a.m. and should last until approximately 4:30 each day. So come out and celebrate 65 great years of Thanksgiving racing! The admission is free. Please park in the Casino Parking lot and come on down to the beach area to take in all the excitement that is Sprint Boat Racing! Don't forget to the Christmas lighted boat parade on the river on Saturday night!
