Yeah, but I'm not a climber.   :good

I'm one of those dreaded system operators.   :eek  :fight :D

Started out as an electronics tech and then got hired on as a operator trainee.

Until I moved down to AZ I was in the local 111, unit 29 out of Durango, CO.   :good

We have two airboats, both powered by small block chevys built by a company in, where else, Florida.  We use them on the Lower Salt River where everyone goes tubing. The river ranges in depth from 20' to 6" and there are lots of areas that can only be accessed by water.  The air boats are mostly used for dive missions, either rescue or recovery. Very fun to drive.

I love my job.  I took a $70,000 pay cut years ago when I started and have never regretted my decision.  Lake Patrol, where I work, is the Holy Grail of assignments and you can see why.  No worries about me in Parker though, its out of county and I have enough to deal with here.

Kinda figured that's where it was from the pic. Yeah Florida is the Airboat capital, I've watched them run thru the swamps and it sure looks like fun!.. Be cool to have one with a big block in it!.. :good  :good  :jumpie

They have an option called a "soaper" that sprays soapy water in front so you can run it for a short period over dry land.

We get plenty of use out of our airboats. Used it a couple of hours ago...recovery.

The airboats are a blast, recoveries suck.  Here's a tip, if you're wearing jeans, cowboy boots, and a belt buckle the size of a Cadillac hubcap, and you don't know how to swim, don't go to the river to get drunk.
