I figure it's hypocritical to tow a Chevy powered boat to the lake with anything but a Chevy.  How many Ford owners pull Chevy power to the lake?  Just curious.

Well......being an automotive mechanic that takes care of fleet vehicles, I would buy a GM any day. Until Ford gets rid of there wiring problems, poorly crafted frontends, engines that don't blow the plugs out with the threads, door switches, 4.6 motors that you can't keep a heads gasket in, leaking timing covers, and to top it off a gas cap that won't seal.

As for the GM's........just a lot of brakes. Don't see to much else go wrong compared to Fords. Oh wait I did forget that they have an evap issue with vehicles that see high dust environments.

I'll have to admit Jordy, for not being a rich man, that is a cool set up! :D  In my case,  I saw my '89 F-350 4x4 for sale in '93 for $10K, so I didn't want to pass it up.  I wasn't even looking. It was just there.  It was pretty much the same story with the boat.  I don't know how I picked my F-150 other than I needed something more economical to commute to work. (It made Gramps happy though! :D)

My poor truck is a '94 that has had a rough life.  I try and take it easy on her now.  Especially with 230,000 miles on her.  Did the first tranny at 202,000, the first rear brakes at 192,000 and the shoes still had material on them, but a leaky wheel seal had saturated one of them with gear oil.  I've put 2 injection pumps in it, all over the course of 6 years.  I don't have a single complaint and have been keeping my eye out for a new Duramax.  I just hate the thought of truck payments again.  ugh...   :D

I don't have any pics of the truck, but it's a 01 Chev 2500 HD crew cab, and the boat is Chev(mercruiser 5.7 mag.) powered as well!! I think that if I had to buy Ford or Dodge, it would be Ford.

All the new trucks are pretty spendy.  Priced a crew cab 4x4 turbo diesel lately?  All right around $40K, regardless of brand.

Their all too dam much money but it seems the Chevy's are alittle more. Id probably get another Ford just for the fact that I get all my parts for employee cost and service or trouble fixed for free or cheap. Not that a new truck should need it.I hope the hell not.

I like the chevy interiors and ride but hate the seats and IFS front ends.I like the Fords seats but hate the dash's.They have somereal plain looking dash's.Hopefully the 04 Fords interiors are nicer.

Dodge.........well,no fucking way!!! nuff said. :p
