Old metal is always better then new. 1985 GMC K2500. 197,000 miles. Currently have a 396, but a 496 is going in when the weather warms up. 5 speed also. And fuel injection.
Pulling an Olds though.
Total price? About $6,000, or the same as a down payment on a new duramax, but with a pant load more class, and no payment.
No emissions is fun!!!

I know that. Mines a '94 with 234,000 miles give or take. With my new job I have to use my own truck, but get a vehicle allowance and mileage. My original plan was to run the wheels off my old truck as it's paid for, then buy a new truck to pull the toys around and just let it sit. However, that plan is going to have to be scrapped as they want all the trucks to be less than 7 years old. Oh well, guess I have to break down and buy a new truck now. Bummer deal for me. I do like not having a payment very much though.
Everyone is a tough guy, until you meet one. Â

You ain't kidin it's grown, I moved here in 94 and I was about a mile from the toolys, it took me 15 min to Saquaro lake, now it's at least 40 to 45 min now, if traffic is good that is!, I'm in the middle of town now, you wouldn't believe the malls around here and they just keep building more!..
