Yep, going hook it up to the boat this weekend to see how I did. Want to take a look at installing some backup lights on the trailer. But I have to fix the Suburbans backup lights first :break

So it was "Whats wrong with the backup lights weekend"
Ran through some trouble shooting and thought the switch on the column was bad. BUt when I took it out I noticed it was installed wrong. So ck the switch manually and it sending power to the lights but they no worky. Ck the rear no power at the lights, ck at the fire wall, got power,ck down the frame, got power. Ck at the adapter got power going in nothing coming out :stupid

Start digging around and find this here pigtail that Sleekjet said should be there :good But its got no power to any of the circuits :banghead

After about an hour of chasing wires and swapping plugs about 15 times. I took the adapter out :break

Then plugged the stuff together and presto everything lights up and got power to the factory pigtail. But now I have to rewire the trailer plug cause it unhooked. Got that done and even have a backup light circuit for my trailer now.  :good

Progress, its all baby steps ;)  

Heater not to hot(Fixed)
All the speakers blown (Done)
Of course the tires need balancing (done)
Swap out the grille or order one ???? (still can't decide which one I want)
Tint the front windows (done)
Wire up the plug for my trailer (done twice :break )
Repair the headliner and visors
Take care of overspray and poor masking(sorta done)
Detailing under the hood (the guy did a color change)
Ck the brakes (done)
Swap tail lights (done)
Polish headlights (Done)
Ck fluids on drive train (engine and tranny just serviced)
Ck out and fix cruise control
Replace upper ball joints (done)
fix mode door on heater (done)
install satellite radio (not sure about this yet)
fixed low beam headlight left side had a bad ground
Repair backup lights(done)
Repair shift indicator (done)
Fan Clutch needs changing (not free wheeling when cold)
blower motor (screaming like a banshee when cold)
Drivers door adjustment or a new weatherstrip(wind noise)
paint the roof rack (its a mess)

Adjustment is in the hinges ain't it, loosen them and they move around???. :stupid

The hinges on the newer trucks are bonded (glued) onto the body... no adjustment.

Wind noise is most likely from the weather stripping...

We do alot of door pins on the GM trucks in our fleet. This wind noise on happens above 70 mph. The top front of the door seems to get pulled away from the door jam :stupid Weatherstrips look ok not dried out or anything. I'm thinking of just tweaking the top of the door in abit with a little gentle persuasion :break  ;)

Not going satellite radio right but do have the stuff for cd player installed and the adapter plug bought.

Getting closer :good

Replaced the cruise switch last weekend but it didn't fix it. Put a brake light switch on it Saturday and "presto" I'm a cruiser :cool Had to buy another drop hitch to get the trailer level :banghead now I have 3

I haven't refilled it yet to get a real reading yet. But I'm guessing around 11-12. Better than the boat thats for sure it got around 2 mpg :banghead
