Yep as of 0820 today :good Had a great time hanging out in the cold with the other line standers at about 0740. Went smooth and painless :D Drove it to work. Things to fix list is growing,

Heater not to hot(thinking Tstat)
All the speakers blown (Maybe Crutchfeild)
Of course the tires need balancing :banghead
Swap out the grille or order one
Tint the front windows (ordered)
Wire up the plug for my trailer
Repair the headliner and visors
Take care of overspray and poor masking
Detailing under the hood (the guy did a color change)
Ck the brakes
Swap tail lights (ordered)
Polish headlights (they are a bit faded)
Ck fluids on drive train (engine and tranny just serviced)
Get rid of the third seat
Ck out and fix cruise control

Maybe I should call Tye Pennington :break  :D

The wires should be stubbed out in back.   :good Unless someone has hacked it all up.  They are wrapped up in that no stick tape and attatched to the wiring harness accross the back of the truck.  GM even provided large gauge wire for a brake and charging circuit.

You shouldn't have to cut any wires.

Hopefully they didn't cut the lighting harness up.  The trailer wires are pig-tailed from the factory.

Good luck on that one... as near as I can figure, you need to dismantle the entire dash to get to those freakin' doors.

Yeah, mine don't work either...   :banghead  :banghead  :banghead

Hopefully it's just the actuator, you can change that out under the dash.   :good

One of the arms on the door has come off on mine, almost like it stripped, and the only way to repair it is replace the entire air mode box/mixer dealio... it's about a 600 dollar part from GM, not to mention the fun of taking the dash apart.

I just put up with the vents being on all the time, the defrost and floor still work, but you can't completely shut the ventelation off.

It blows barely warm air through the heater system. I don't think the engine has a thermostat in it or its not working right, it never gets very warm. The blend door might be fubared also.

Yep... it won't ever come out of it's warm up mode.  Probably costing a mile or two per gallon or so.

makes it tough to smog also. don't those use vacum lines to control some of the heat/defrost functions? I know mine seems to take a while to move from the dash to defrost first thing in the morning. they run a canister under the hood, check those lines for damage.

You can take off the floor vent shroud off and reach up in there and physically move the doors.   The defrost vent might just be blocked.

One other thing, does the little display up on the temperature control flash???

The controls all seem to work fine, the only flashing is the little arrows that show where the air is going to blow out . But they stop flashing when its done moving.

I was looking at a manual and thought that bottom piece looks like it comes off, guys out in the shop said the accuators come of from the arms sometimes.
