I have a good interest in finally having a stereo system and my friend as well. Would really like to see some examples of how everyone chose to mount speakers and speaker boxes, etc..in the cramped quarters of a jet boat :confused  :confused

From what I know its very rare to have a classic jet boat with speakers at all. It's all about the engine. I know Havasu Doug has some in his boat though.

What type of boat do you have?  :confused

Like Scuba said, I've got speakers in my '78 Challenger. Specifically, 2 - 12" woofers mounted in the front bulkhead and I have a pair of box speakers hanging from under the dash.  I built mounts that fasten to the plywood behind the dash.  I had to redo it several times before it could handle Lake Havasu and Mohave. :rotflmao  The current setup has lasted around 7 years with no problems. :D

But, I prefer the music that my engines make.  There ain't a better sound in the world than a good running BBC! :good  :D  It's music to my ears :jumpie

It looks sort of ugly with so much light. :eek

Anyway, this shows my setup minus my stereo faceplate. This amp powers the woofers and there's another one on the other side for the 2-way box speakers. :D

Hey guys don't get me wrong...I'm all for the header song at high rpm's but when I'm just hanging out on a bar or on the beach I would like to have some tunes from time to time.Well, at least my own instead of someone elses...The setup with bulkhead subs looks alright although I am not diggin' the mids and highs boxes. To each his own though. The current boat I'm trying to fit is a '78 Caribbean. Thanks for the help. You guys ROCK!! :good  :good

Talking to Jeff from his shop at supacross in sandiego a couple weeks ago, he was saying it was a new 25' daytona with canopies but he wasn't sure.  I do know it's a daytona and knowing adam it will be absolutely off the hook.

Have you seen his rail?  Full system, tv's and on and on and on...  bad ass.   :beer

Absolutely.  They jumped through hoops to do my stereo in my truck when I was there for a couple days.  Did a great job.  Got to party with the whole WFS crew at supercross as well.   :beer

Yep. I saw it about 6 weeks ago and it IS off the hook. His plans for it are definitely going to be trick. He's doing it the way a seriously custom stereo/boat should be done. When you see it finished, it will blow you away.

:beer i have a challenger two and i also went with the 12" subs but im only running one amp that sits on top of my ski channel right now. the head unit is more than enough to power the 5x7's i put in front of the gas tanks and the back seat i will eventually,(very soon!;) have to put in some more treble  but well wait until after the 5th of june for all that. im also running a dual battery set up to take care of all the power requirements.due to the flame motive i plan on carrying out this fall i mounted the sub's on custom flame shaped plates and will be redoing the carpet, apholstery, and gelcoat to match.
